Connected Distribution Box
The D-Box automates the on-site distribution of devices, simplifying and speeding up management, while simultaneously collecting real-time visitor statistics.
Orpheo D-Box is compatible with Orpheo Mikro LX, Orpheo Touch and Orpheo Hybe.
3 Modes Available: Distribution, Return, Survey
Distribution Mode
The distribution process takes approximately 3 seconds. The configuration (languages, tours, accessibility mode…) is transmitted simultaneously to several devices. Placing a device (or several devices) on the D-Box platform enables the automatic update of the language and/or the tour route.
The distribution mode also displays the number of connected devices at any given time.
Return Mode
This mode is used to facilitate the collection process of visitor devices at the end of the tour. It collects real-time visitor statistics such as average visit duration and visitor satisfaction.
Each time a device is scanned into the D-Box, the web platform is informed that an audio or multimedia guide has been returned to the distribution point.
Survey Mode
● Return Screen
Encourages visitors to return their audio or multimedia guides via D-Box. Every time a device is detected, the platform registers the end of the tour.
● Survey Screen
Allows visitors to provide their feedback. Each question is displayed in the language chosen by the visitor.
● Thank You Screen
Displays a thanking message along with an animation encouraging the visitor to return his/her device at the appropriate counter.
Real-Time Data Collection
The D-Box enables to experience live data information available online with Orpheo cloud-based system.
Here are some examples:
● Number of devices in use at any moment;
● Distribution of selected tours and languages in percentages;
● Number of rentals per distribution point;
● Number of users per hour, day, month;
● Average duration of the visit;
● Visitor satisfaction rate.
Based on these indicators, the onsite coordinator will be able to provide a regular activity report and to create strategic marketing plans based on measured usage.
